About The Job

The Infrastructure Engineer (Infrastructure Automation Engineer) is responsible for both tradition and cloud based infrastructure implementations based on designs from infrastructure architects. This person must be willing and able to perform detailed technical analysis on the designs and provide appropriate feedback to the architects, and to direct other system administrators in the implementation. This will entail creating and modifying technical documents such as runbooks and software installation guides, maintaining artifacts in a project collaboration site and creating & monitoring service requests. The candidate for this position will be asked to provide troubleshooting expertise when needed, and must be willing to take on project-related or ad-hoc jobs that sometimes fall outside of the above definition


  • Define standards for configuration, monitoring, reliability and performance

  • Serve as subject matter expert for multiple proprietary and open source technologies

  • Responsible for planning a program by studying requirements.

  • User Interface design experience, SharePoint Custom Web Parts, Web Applications (, MVC, and Responsive UIs).

  • Strong written and communication skills.

  • Candidate must be able to work well within a team environment.

  • Provides technical support and input on the application of technology to a defined business segment.

  • Contributes to knowledge of tools for other support team.

  • Knowledge of interfacing/automating Microsoft infrastructure technologies (Active Directory, System Center Products) and third Party application APIs (Cherwell, ServiceNow, SharePoint).

  • Knowledge in Technologies such as SQL, C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, AngularJs, REST Web Services, WCF, XML, JSON, and ASP Web services.

  • Proficient in developing Microsoft .Net applications (C#), web services, and components.

  • Competent in creating SQL databases, reports, and stored procedures.

  • Knowledge of AGILE methodology.

  • Familiarity with Visual Studio and source control.


Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or computer related area of study. At least 2 years of relevant programming experience in C#. (4 years in total)

  • Two years of experience of system administration on Windows OS 2012 2016

  • Experience with Configuration Management software like Puppet, Chef, Ansible or TerraForm.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment and very receptive to giving, receiving and implementing feedback.

  • A knack and desire for troubleshooting tough problems and digging into how things work.

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and working knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, etc.

  • Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.

  • Solid communicator with great customer service skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.

  • The ability to handle and keep track of many tasks at once and to manage time efficiently

  • Sound judgment and willingness to exercise same in sometimes ambiguous situations.

  • Experience with a PaaS / IaaS solutions preferred

  • Experience in supporting a DevOps environment using tools like GIT, Jenkins. Maven, etc. preferred

  • Basic understanding of J2EE design patterns and best practices

  • Prior exposure to Agile/SCRUM a plus
